The story of the Beastie Boys is rap history and anyone that truly loves rap from the 80's and 90's knows how impactful and important the Beasties Boys were and are. Standing on stage in Brooklyn, Adam Horvitz (Adrock) and Mike D tell the story and history of how the Beastie Boys started grew, changed and become one of the greatest rap groups ever.

The two of them on stage are cool, great storytellers and funny. The way they speak and the chemistry and comedy they have between make this so entertaining. Clearly the whole of Adam Yucht, MC A, who they lost a few years back to cancer is felt the entire time. They do him great justice in his footage and clearly explaining how important he was to the group. He was the founder and the musical genius and energy behind the band.

The Beastie Boys came up as party rappers and transformed to a more alternative rap style that they invented. During that transition they found who they were and who they wanted to be. That translated into song after song that just took things to another level.

This show or documentary was about 2 hours. It was so good I could have seen more. Between the unseen footage and pictures they had, the stories they told and the way the two guys spoke I was eating it all up. Definitely worth the watch.
