A show from the guy that created the show about nothing with Jerry Seinfeld. Larry David’s “Curb” is just pure gold. Episode after episode Larry, who plays himself, puts himself in one awkward situation after another. He holds no thoughts back and says whatever he is thinking without any concern for the outcome.
The storylines are endless for this type of madness. That definitely explains why a show originally created in 2000 when Tony and the Sopranos were just getting going is still killing it in 2020. 10 seasons, there was a long gap from 2011 to 2017. This past season was hysterical. Larry taking on the concept of the yo yo’ing of weight loss and gain with his girlfriend, staining a couch at a hotel and whether or not to tell them and starting a spite coffee shop next door to a coffee shop that banned him due to his complaining and so much more.
This show is so iconic that in your regular life you will start to refer to things that happen and that you do as a “Curb” moment or a “Larry David” moment. It happens all the time. This show is the quickest half hour of TV there is. If you are looking to just kick back, laugh and have some mindless fun, this is your show. It’s one of the best comedies ever made.
