Doom Patrol was hilarious. DC Universe was killing it with the surprisingly good Titans, and now with the addition of this it could very well be the best place to watch superhero TV series.
Doom Patrol is one of the weirdest and quickest shows you can watch, but in the best way possible. From start to finish it's so funny. From the narration and narrator breaking the 4th wall to characters simply talking about nothing. Even the villain is entertaining. I think that's the best part of this series, just how entertaining it is.
But don't let that fool you there's a ton of emotion here. This is very much a DC production, and it's as dark as you'd expect. The series follows the Doom Patrol, a part hero group and part support group that embarks on a mission to rescue The Chief from Mr. Nobody.
There's a lot of backstory and it's all pretty tragic, so watching the characters evolve is just that much more satisfying. Also they're all really good to the point that you just want to watch this strange dysfunction family.
Doom Patrol is a hilarious heartfelt story about family. The series has enough comedy and emotion to be irresistibly entertaining all while being extremely hard hitting. All in all Doom Patrol was a great watch.
