Maybe the best show or best interview show on the Internet. Seriously. This show combines two things 1) eating 10 wings that progressively get hotter and 2) a quality and insightful interview. Hosted by a previously unknown Sean Evans, this show now 11 seasons and over 200 episodes in has taken over the world.
I have fallen in love with this show for a number of reasons. The guest list has gotten very strong and it's pretty much all A list guests. Everyone is treated exactly the same and they have to make it through the 10 wings that our covered in some of the hottest sauce in the world. Watching as the guests start off confident and inevitably begin to tear up and battle to the end (some don't finish), and finally the great interview that Sean Evans does.
Sean Evans needs to get his respect in the entertainment industry as a strong interviewer. He does have a template of questions that he will ask everyone but then he mixes in these deep dives and interesting perspective thoughts that will push the guest into a place you don't normally see them go.
The use of the wings also helps to break the ice with the guest and make them so much more real and human to the viewers. Typically we only see them on TV or the movies and now they are just like us, trying to eat some very spicy and painful food.
Also, this show is typically under 20 minutes so it's great to watch when you are having a quick lunch or you don't have much time to watch something long. If you haven't see this, give a few episodes a try. Watch the Gordon Ramsey episode below and you will get a great sense for how good this show is.
Keep them coming Hot Ones!
