A psychopath, a rebel, and an adventure of a lifetime.
The End of the F***ing World...If the title doesn't give you an idea of what you're in store for then I'll try my best to. This was a brutally honest series that had no time for a filter. It's a dark look on love and life, but it still managed to be pretty entertaining and surprisingly funny.
The series follows James, a teenager who believes he's a psychopath as he befriends a rebellious teenage girl named Alyssa, and they embark on a journey to find her father.
This series was really entertaining. It's so dark yet unique enough to be captivating. It's also funny as hell. There's a ton of dark humor that's straight up hilarious.
The story was great. You have two very interesting characters going on a journey to say the least. Again the series is very dark and bloody, but also very sweet and touching. It actually gets really sad, and that's what I love most about it. It was brutally honest yet comforting. It was as hard hitting as it was touching.
The best part was the characters. More specifically the development they got, because they don't start off as the most likeable people. They're funny so you enjoy watching them, but you can't really connect with them on a deeper level. Or at least you couldn't because by the end I was in love with them. The acting was also amazing by Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden, who play James and Alyssa.
Overall this was a uniquely dark, but real story about life, love, and the end. It was as hilarious as it was heartbreaking. And in the end The End of the F***ing World might be one of my new favorite shows.
