Spider-Man: Far From Home was a blast from start to finish. Coming after one of if not the biggest movie of all time in Avengers: Endgame, I just thought this film would be an afterthought. But on the contrary this film ended up being one of the best in the MCU to date.

It takes place after the events of Endgame and follows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he and his class take a trip to Europe, but their trip is cut short when Elementals attack and a new mysterious hero emerges by the name Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

I thought the best thing about the film was even though it knows it's in a far larger universe, it still felt very much like a Spider-Man film. You have characters dealing with everyday problems. You have kids growing up, and you have entertaining villains. Plus is entertaining and fun.

Peter Parker was great and his chemistry with MJ was really good, but you already knew that. What you probably didn't know was that the action was amazing (you probably did). The Elementals were awesome, and the CGI was beautiful. The action was huge yet it felt so personal. You have buildings, cars, and bridges blowing up, but your focus is still on the characters which is something I absolutely loved.

If this film proved one thing it's that there's still a lot of steam left in the MCU's tank. This was a warm feel good film that at times felt like a road trip comedy, and at others a really mature film about loss and growing up. In the end Spider-Man: Far From Home was a fun action packed thrill ride that gave me everything I wanted from a Spider-Man movie and more.
