One of the top chef's in the world loses his brother and has to come home and run his families sandwich shop in Chicago but running the store is only part of the challenge. The Bear, lead by Showtime's Shameless star Jeremy Allen White is deep, heartfelt and just a really good show.

This show reminds me a lot of the movie "Chef" with Jon Favreau but instead of a food truck it all takes place at one store. The Chef brings his high end styles, approach, discipline, etiquette, respect, language and everything else that a top star restaurant would have to a local popular sandwich shop.

There are storylines from all over the place, the young chef that has great ideas and wants to learn, the staff that have been there forever that don't want to change, the crazy cousin / best friend who is a pain in the ass but also loving and helpful and more. Over each episode you get more and more interested in the growth of the characters and where this story can go. Throw all these people in one store and add in the madness of downtown Chicago and you have plenty of great content.

If you like food shows with the lingo, the attitude, kitchen craziness, if you like family drama, if you like Jeremy Allen White from Shameless and many more reasons this show is a good watch.  You won't be disappointed.
