The Mandalorian was amazing. This was one of the main selling points for me when it came to Disney+, and it's one hundred percent worth the price of admission.

Five minutes into the first episode and I knew I was in for something special. You're instantly teleported into a world with so much of the original trilogy nostalgia. The atmosphere and the entire feel of the series is that of the early 80's. It's almost like The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly fell on top of Rogue One.

The series follows a lone gunslinger known simply as The Mandalorian five years after Return of the Jedi in the furthest reaches of the galaxy.

Before going any further I want to say Pedro Pascal gives arguably the best performance of his career as The Mandalorian. It's such a nuanced one where the character wears a mask, but somehow is able to portray so much emotion. The entire cast is incredible, and Star Wars adds even more unique characters to it's world.

The action scenes were really good and there were some nice set pieces, but what really made this show memorable was the storyline. It's a few adventures that sprout into this overarching story and no spoilers, but it's worthy of the Star Wars name.

This is the first live action Star Wars show, but I hope it's not the last. Excellent cinematography, music, and an amazing cgi and practical effect blend reminiscent of those original films. Great action and story with a beautiful score to match. Throw in Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian in an irresistible space western that sets a pretty high bar for the new age of Star Wars.
