This show is a unique blend of comedy but also with some deep meaning and stories that change every week. The show is centered (sort of) around “The Guy” (Ben Sinclair) who delivers pot to people all over NYC; aka the weed delivery man. Each episode the show has totally new characters, they almost never repeat with the only exception, the pot guy shows up to make a delivery at some point in every show. There are also other interesting moments with The Guy and his life in NYC.
What I like most about this show you get a true taste and feel for life in New York City. Scenes in places you probably never even knew existed in New York City. NYC is a melting pot of people from all over the world; so many cultures, economic situations, sexuality, religion, politics and more. The episode stories take you right into the apartments and all different places in the city. You become totally invested into the people within each show. High Maintenance brings that all to you with deep meaning but plenty of humor too. For a half hour show, this one really packs a lot in. I found this randomly and I am hooked.
"The Guy" is great to watch too, he is like the Forrest Gump of bud delivery guys. Just be careful with his box of chocolates.
