This show tells the story of corruption and violence within the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force. The level of abuse, racism, robbery, drugs and more are really unthinkable and for this to happen by the police is disgusting.

An incredible cast, lead by Jon Bernthal tells the true story of absolute corruption and and abuse of power by a team of plain clothes police officers in Baltimore. The show does a great job of going back and forth in the timelines to explain how this all happened and how it was uncovered. The characters in this story are really interesting and deep. The corrupt cops, the Internal Affairs team, the district attorney's and government officials are all played so well and make this exciting to watch. In some ways you find yourself enjoying the corruption scenes of the show but ultimately you begin to hate the guys and all that they do.  Innocent minorities and poor people, or many times not fully innocent are taken advantage of by these cops. They are arrested, harassed beaten up and sometimes accidentally killed just so these guys can steal money, guns and drugs from them.

I never fully knew this story but this show was done so well and if you enjoyed The Wire, this is like The Wire but only focused on the police and their corruption.
