A picture is worth a thousand words they say, well what about the man who took the picture? This documentary focuses on Pete Souza, the White House photographer for Presidents Ronald Reagan and Barak Obama. He has had unrestricted access that has produced intimate, powerful and emotional pictures like we have never seen before.
Pete Souza got his start at a small town newspaper and over the years has worked himself to the Chicago Sun Times and eventually the White House. He has learned so much about what a president goes through in the public and private aspects of life. He has insights to the relationships with the first lady, their kids and co-workers. So many stories and you just can't get enough.
However, that's not all. After he finished with Obama and Trump took over Souza began to feel that Trump was disrespecting all that he had seen and loved about being president and how to act on all levels. Souza then started an Instagram account to as they say "throw some shade" at what he didn't like. He used the pictures he has taken over the years to make his points in a subtle but really intellectual way too.
If you have an interest in history, politics and leaders this show is a quick and fun watch. Pete Souza is a complete down to earth guy who is quite emotional too. He has seen so much and his insights as someone who really has been in the "room where it happened".
I loved this and would totally recommend this to all.
