How far would you go to protect your child? What if it meant going against everything you stood for in your personal life and career?
Bryan Cranston is at it again. He plays a judge in New Orleans that is as morale as it gets. He will go out of his way to help defendants if he feels they deserve it. Everyone in the courthouse and surrounding area know him and respect him. By all standards he is a true community leader.
Unfortunate events occur when his son is involved in a hit and run. His son handles everything totally wrong and turns this accident into a complete mess. Enter Cranston, the loving dad with the brains and connections to help his son at all costs. After the loss of his wife and his sons mother all they have is each other. The judge does his best to make this go away.
This story really goes to another level when the realization that the boy killed in the hit and run is the son of head of the New Orleans mob. This show then takes a really interesting angle where the judge and the son are kind of the bad guys and wrong and the mob boss is right. This storyline becomes so intense and as a viewer you are not sure how to feel and what to root for.
In some ways this actually has a bit of a Breaking Bad and Walter White aspect here where the initial reason for the fathers actions are based on love, ultimately the actions are not right and cause a spiral that is out of control. Many others are taken down due to this cover up and it's a thrill ride.
You should definitely watch this.
