A top Israeli agent comes out of retirement to hunt for a Palestinian militant he thought he'd killed, setting a chaotic chain of events into motion. Fauda, which means "Chaos" in Hebrew, was written and created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff drawing on their experiences in the Israel Defense Forces. The series premiered on February 15, 2015. It tells the story of Doron, a commander in the Mista'arvim unit and his team as they pursue a Hamas arch-terrorist known as "The Panther."
This show is a real thrill ride. You feel as if you are standing in the middle east and experiences this intense and never ending conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, Hamas and others. Undercover spy missions, torture, drones, dealmaking, innocent deaths, bombs, guns and so much more, this show really has it all. Also interesting about this show is that it was originally made for Israeli viewers and others in that area so the actors are speaking Hebrew with English overalyed afterwards. At times you think something is off with your TV but you get used to it. Also there are many moments for subtitles during Arabic and Palestinian conversations.
If you like action, adventure and things like that, along the lines of Homeland, Black Hawk Down, American Sniper, Jack Ryan and other similar shows or movies you will love this show.
