Homeland

This show has continued one season after another (8 in total) to keep us at the edge of our seats.  Claire Danes has played Carrie Mathison in an incredibly believable way. Her ability to express the difficulty of being bipolar and somehow navigating the complexities of the CIA, the middle east, Russia and American politics has lead to so many exciting seasons.  The character of Saul Berenson, played by Mandy Patinkin has also been a joy to see. Mandy's acting and emotional power of Saul really helps push this story through. It's hard not to wonder who is that person in real life at the CIA.

What's really interesting is that this show started in Season 1 as a show about a military man that was captured and then released to become a show that is much more about the CIA and how we operate our various policies and acts overseas. Drones, terrorism, interrogations, kidnapping, torture, diplomacy and more. Homeland really touches on it all. If you have not watched this show and you are a fan of action, adventure, military, politics and things like that this is in the top 10 possibly all time. Season 1 will pull you in. If you started and then stopped I would also say to come back. They really did a great job of keeping the stories exciting and interesting.
