Mare of Easttown

Kate Winslet plays a detective in a rural Pennsylvania town trying to solve a case that is personal and awful for the town.

A local murder has the town scared and wondering what happened. Mare, a detective in this small town is faced with dealing with this and a year old missing person case too. Recently divorced Mare's life is a mess as well.

Kate Winslet does a great job in this role and is totally believable all the way down to her PA accent (sort of). The cast is strong and you really never know who did what and you are constantly thinking it's someone else.  This is an easy 7 episode watch on HBO.
