Riverdale

There's more happening in Riverdale than just a few weird mysteries.

A part teen romance drama and part mysterious thriller CW's Riverdale has something to offer to everybody. The series is an adaptation of the Scooby-Doo/Goosebumps esque Archie Comics, but trust me when I say it's a helluva lot darker.

The series follows the gang of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones, and Veronica Lodge as they deal with the trials and tribulations of growing up all while dealing with the dark secrets of Riverdale.

Riverside has been an extremely fun watch. The series was able to perfectly blend the nostalgia of the 60's with a modern coat of paint. You get the great Scooby-Doo like mysteries, but if you were like me and didn't love the ending to those then don't worry because there is way more going on then just some guy in a costume.

The way the mysteries are presented and then unraveled is just amazing to watch, and there's enough twists and turns for everybody. The series does an excellent job at building tension and suspense around the mysteries and characters that you end up feeling so uneasy about everything and everyone.

The world also feels so fleshed out along with the characters. Everything feels real with that great retro 60's style. There's a diverse set of characters that all feel like individuals. They all have motives and reason behind their decisions almost to a point that you can completely understand why they did what they did even if you don't agree with it.

Every episode feels like a fun house maze where you don't know where you're going to go, but you know you're going to see some fun stuff along the way. CW'S Riverdale is an excellent watch for anyone who loves a good mystery.
