A Quiet Place was one of the best thrillers I've seen in years. This film had barely any dialogue yet it had more emotion in it's opening scene than most modern horror movies have in their entirety. It had a great original premise, but more importantly it had genuine scares.

The film follows a family in a post-apocalyptic world where ultra sound sensitive monsters roam, and they are forced to live their lives in silence.

From the very first scene the film let's you know you're in for something special. It was hard hitting and set the story up perfectly. And for a film this contained with what it could do it really pulled off something special.

You absolutely fall in love with this family. You just want to see them happy and safe, but these creatures won't allow it. And there's so many genuine moments of terror that if I wasn't so tense I would've cried. Not to mention the terrifying yet beautiful ending.

The acting was also phenomenal, and they felt like such a real family. The creature design was really cool, and the CGI was impressive.

A Quiet Place was a great thriller that remembered to have a great story along with great scares. This film was surprisingly emotional, and I admit I shed a tear. Terrifying on more levels than just one A Quiet Place was a truly horrifying film.
