All American

All American is high school drama that combines many classic and successful high school shows from the last 20 years. Think 90210, Gossip Girl and Friday Night Lights all in one. This show does a great job of mixing football, high school storylines and powerful, insightful stories of how tough it is growing up in Crenshaw and South Central LA as a young African American just trying to improve their life.

The show follows the lead high school football star from Crenshaw, CA living with his mom and little brother with no father around. Spencer is the best football player in the area and a coach (Taye Diggs) from Beverly Hills High School comes and recruits him to play for Beverly Hills and improve his life and his future.

As Spencer embarks on this new life in Beverly Hills, he is still balancing his family and past that live in Crenshaw while also trying to learn the ways of a wealthy white town.

All American combines rich living, teen romance, troubled kids, gangs, drugs, sex, sports, and many more stories in this show. It's well written and acted. It's a fun show to watch and you keep desiring more.
