House of the Dragon

This Game of Thrones prequel takes us over 170 years before the battle at the wall and when winter finally came. With a focus on Targaryen reign on the throne.

Originally I was reluctant to watch this since I felt it could not possibly hold up against Game of Thrones. I wasn't excited to learn all new characters and all else that comes with this type of show. Thankfully, I put those feelings aside and watched. After about the first 25 minutes of episode 1 I was back in and loving it.  If you enjoyed GoT and this genre then House of the Dragon is a must watch.

It's amazing watching the Dragons fly around, the battles and manipulations around the throne and within the kings counsel. The Targaryen family has many layers and provides that mix of adventure, action and drama all in one.
