You make think you know what Chippendales is and what it's all about but you are wrong. The background story of how this famous club was founded and what happened during its rise and fall is truly a movie, or in this case a great tv show. The founder Steve Banerjee, played by Kumail Nanjiani, started out as a gas station attendant with big life plans. Had had no idea his life would go in this direction.
The backstory of Chippendales is wild. The creation of the concept, the madness that went on at these clubs with men, women, drugs and more and then the insane dramatic fall of it all. Like so many stories of success there is always jealousy, greed, and more. Nobody can ever just be happy, they always want more or feel they are not getting the credit they deserve.
This show takes a deep dive and without spoiling this too much things get very dark!
