Stranger Things

This show was the big hit for Netflix when it first came out in 2016. Stranger Things mixes many genres all in one; 80's, sci-fi, comedy, horror, and plenty of drama. The ensemble of the kids with a few main adults lead by Winona Ryder and David Harbour work so well together.

I have to admit, I was late on this one. Everyone kept calling it an 80's show which normally I would like but the idea of sci-fi and unrealistic supernatural things happening didn't really draw me in. Finally I gave in and I am glad I did. The story is believable (sort of) but the acting is really strong and it has this feeling of if ET was a little more gross and scary to it.

I was very interested to learn more about this "strange" world that existed and how they would figure things out. Fast forward to 4 seasons later and they are still going really strong. In fact, you could argue that season 4 was actually the best.

I would definitely recommend this show and it deserves the hyper that it gets.  Check it out!
