Well, first let me say that this is not something I would normally choose to watch for a number of reasons. For a while I thought this was a documentary about cats or something and I have nothing against cats but that really did not grab my attention or make me add this to my watchlist. Secondly, after watching it, this topic about real life crazy murderers and all that is also not usually a topic I like to watch, too real, too crazy.
So, with that said, I have to say this was surprising really good and interesting in many ways. While at a dinner with my kid’s soccer friends one of the moms started to explain what this was all about. She was raving about it. We were at a tournament that was all weekend so I was staying at a hotel. That night, of course while my son was on his iPad I was looking for something to watch. I figured based on her review, why not, I will give it a shot. Needless to say, I was hooked pretty quickly but unsure where this was going.
It’s only 3 episodes and each episode is really its own part of the story and you are thinking one thing after each one ends only to learn something else in the next one. The fact that this is all true is wild. Essentially an entire community of Facebook users were so enraged by some crazy person posting videos of killing cats that they acted and used every piece of technology to figure out almost every single aspect of this crazy killer.
I am trying hard not to spoil in this review but let’s just say someone that is crazy enough to do these disgusting and sick things to animals has a good chance of doing more. This series is not for those with a weak stomach I will say. It’s pretty powerful but does show that when people of all walks of life and backgrounds come together for the greater good, amazing things can happen.
