Knives Out was a stylish modern whodunit that entertained me. From the plot and mystery to Daniel Craig and his amazing accent, this was just a fun film.
It follows a family made up of a stellar cast featuring the likes of Chris Evans and Jaime Lee Curtis, after the suspicious death of Harlan played by Christopher Plummer. A private detective (Daniel Craig) gets involved after he is mysteriously hired.
First thing first the acting was great. It had an all-star cast where everyone brung their A game. The film was also beautifully directed and written by the man of the hour Rian Johnson.
Knives Out was flat out a fun and entertaining film. It was surprisingly funny with more than a few moments that made me burst out laughing. There's also this energy in the film that just makes you smile.
The story was really good, and there's a tonal shift in it that was beautiful. It made the film that much more interesting. In the beginning the film's oozing with mystery and suspense, but as it continues that slowly turns into tension until it's burning into your heart.
The film makes you ask a hundred questions only to answer half of them while also making you ask a hundred more. It truly was a work of art. And there was this small moment where two things didn't add up one hundred percent that I noticed, and I thought that maybe the writer or director made a mistake, but at the very end it gets pieced back together and completely makes sense and I sat back and thought wow.
Knives Out was an amazing film. It was entertaining and hilarious with great characters and an even better story. The film leaves no mystery that it's a great one.
