Green Day - Bullet in a Bible
If you love Green Day or just love behind the scenes moments of a kick ass rock n roll concert this documentary really has it all. In this film, Green Day profile their "American Idiot" concert at Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, England in 2005. You feel the energy of the show coming through your screen and find yourself singing along as if you are in this insane crowd.

The Lighthouse
Another film from the Cannes Film Festival is The Lighthouse. This is the second feature film from Robert Eggers, with his first being The Witch in 2016. Now, The Witch was a somewhat polarizing movie and not everybody enjoyed it. For a first movie, I think it is pretty great. One of the more noticeable aspects about The Witch is how well shot it is. I certainly have some issues with it, but immediately after watching it I could tell that this is a director I wanted to keep my eyes on. His newest film, The Lighthouse, is something that I am actually comfortable calling a masterpiece.

Parasite
So, I thought the perfect film to be the first one I reviewed is this years best picture winner at the Oscars, Parasite. Parasite is directed by Bong Joon-Ho. Bong Joon-Ho is a fantastic South Korean director who has made many amazing films. His most popular films are the ones he directed in the English language, like Snowpiercer and Okja and both of those films certainly have elements to appreciate within them, but in my opinion they are nowhere near the quality of his Korean language films.

How I Met Your Mother
Arguably the best ensemble comedy cast after Friends ended, How I MetYour Mother came strong with Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders and Josh Radnor. This group of six had on point timing, great comedic moments, funny "inside" jokes and also heart.

Rescue Me
One of the great TV dramas on cable TV that never made it mainstream. Lead by Dennis Leary, this drama built around firefighters in New York City has the perfect mix of humor, tense, exciting fire scenes and gut wrenching emotion stories. You will find yourself laughing and one point and heartbroken in another.
